Marius attended private studies in graphic art and painting with professors at the Arts Academy Lithuania. He pursue a carrer as an art teacher and has also worked as an artist for the drama theatre in Lithuania. In 1997, he was awarded the "Young Talent" prize during an exhibition in Kedainiai, Lithuania. Balcius has exhibited his work in various countries including Lithuania, Germany, Denmark, Russia, the United States, Australia, France, the United Kingdom, and Italy. He has also participated in several art fairs such as the Affordable Art Fair Battersea in London in 2018, Affordable Art Fair Singapore in 2018, and Affordable Art Fair Milano in 2015. In 2016, he was awarded the "Art Shopping at Louvre Carrousel" prize in Paris in collaboration with the Italian gallery 'QueenArtStudio'. He was also awarded the "Bonaventura Da Peroga" prize in Vigonza, Italy, in the summer of 2016, in collaboration with Salvador Dali's son, Jose Van Roy Dali.
